Day 1: Gift from a friend

I woke up this morning and went to check the mail like I normally do during the summer and found a package stuffed in our box with my name on. I had been expecting this little package after sending a few emails back and forth with it's sender but I had no idea what was inside. So I quickly went inside and tore open the box. What I found inside made my heart melt.

A long time friend of mine from TLKFAA, DeadlyNightShade (aka Night) made me the cutest custom pendant of Sorin and a pic of my old fursona Chazz lion! <3 I swear, this was the best way to start summer vacation. The necklace features two green beads to match Sorin's eyes and two little feather charms. It fits perfectly and has the cutest little jingle ever. Her Chazz pic found an open spot on the back of my closet door next to an old picture of Dimeyi that Kc (lightliger) drew me last year.

Chazz lion!

 For those of you who don't know, I created a lion version of Chazz Princeton from Yugioh GX to act as my "fursona" between 2007 - 2008, aka the years I were most active on TLKFAA. After 08, I sorta faded away from the GX phase (I still love the show to pieces though!) and replaced Chazz lion with Anderson as my new fursona. Still, I feel Chazz lion represents my early art days and old art style. <3 Don't be surprised if you see him make a mini come back in a pic or two in the near future.

Day 1: Summer blogs

:D Since I'm officially on summer vacation now, I'll try to update my blog from day to day with the random things I'm doing throughout my vacation. That way, I'll leave my other journal, like the one on my devArt account, for things that are important for there only.

Sooooo comics. I started working on the first chapter of "Bloodlines" finally. :D I'm about halfway through the opening scene. I'm holding off on concept character art and reference sheets atm because the designs I want to use for both Riley and Bit are adoptables offered up by brownwhisker. xD It'd be terrible to draw a ton of concept scenes/ storyboards then find out I didn't get the designs. I should know by the 15th which designs I won so maybe concept art will start soon after. I might start a few concept sketches of three other characters featured in the first scene though. :3

I'm still working on Tribal Wars short #2. The fourth page was uploaded to the comic website a few weeks ago. :3 The fifth page needs to have a nice, clean layout because it has a ton of info that needs to be included on it, so it might take me longer than normal to get it up. If I pull it off though, it'll definitely be one my favorite pages so far. <33

Kc (aka lightliger on devArt) gave me Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII to play during the summer. <33 I've played like 30 minutes so far but I'm already totally addicted! The storyline is pure awesome and Zack is definitely one of my all time favorite characters now. It took me a bit to get used to the control, but then, all games are like that. You guys shoulda told me the FF series was this amazing! I would have bought the games ages ago. D:

Webcomic update!

Anyway, a few of you might have heard I'm re-doing my old webcomic, Keystones. I recently started working on its storyline more than I have Tribal Wars because, honestly, I just looove the theme I'm adding to it. <33 Animals searching for some ultimate power brought together by strange pendants and who can use alchemy type magic is pure win, amirite? :B ...okay, so animals who can use magical powers aren't all that original, but my story will be interesting nonetheless!

The new version of Keystones features new characters and an all new storyline along with a bunch of added themes. The comic primarily focuses on various alchemy inspired themes such as the Keystones of Land, Sea, and Sky as well as the ultimate powers of Nature. The characters directly related to the Keystones (the holders and their followers) are also able to use an elemental type of magic which also gives them that glowy mark on their face. :B You'll learn more in the comic though.

New characters include a barn swallow named Sora, a sabertooth like cat named Enriki, my previously unused gray cheetah char Kite, the wolf redesigned into a wild dog called Kamaria, and a cunning fennec fox named Taiki. Denahi and Akia have been removed from the storyline completely at this point.

Keystones is set to be released May 2011, after I get out of school for the summer. New cover design may be before then.
